Abstract

This article presents a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and correlational protocol to study the association between university faculty research competencies and the quality of academic education in eighth and ninth-semester students at the Universidad Estatal de Bolívar. Derived from a postgraduate research project, the protocol organizes the variables into eight dimensions, proposes a census sample of the accessible population, a structured 40-item questionnaire using a five-level Likert scale, and a documentary review sheet. It details an instrument validation path, data collection procedures, ethical criteria, data cleaning, descriptive analysis, and testing using Spearman's Rho. It emphasizes that the term incidence must be interpreted with caution, as the design allows for estimating association rather than experimental causality. The protocol serves as a reproducible guide for the empirical phase and does not yet report institutional results.
